Summer Camps

Welcome to Spring River Zoo's Summer Camps. Lunch and snacks will be provided, if there are any dietary concerns, please bring a separate lunch and we will store it in the zoo's kitchen. Below are descriptions for each day of our camps. 


Pre-K Camp - June 5th-9th
4-5 Year Old 
All about the animals. Children are encouraged to come learn about animals through stories and arts & crafts. Tour the zoo and meet our animals. Parents are encouraged to stay during the camp. 

Predator/Prey Camp - June 12th-16th
6-10 Year Old

Learn about hunting strategies of various predators and avoidance techniques of prey and what it takes to survive in the wild. Children learn about behaviors and adaptations animals use to be successful in their environments. 

Jr. Zookeeper Camp - June 19th-23rd
11-15 Year Old
Tweens and teens learn about the profession of animal care. They will learn husbandry skills, veterinarian practices and how to do basic behavioral training. 

Camouflage Camp - July 10th-14th
11-15 Year Old
See what adaptations species have acquired in order to hide from others in the wild. Children learn how to deceptive nature can be in order to survive. 

Biomes Camp - July 17th-21st
11-15 Year Old
Tweens and teens experience the diversity of habitats that allow animals to thrive in their environments. See how environment shapes their behaviors and physical traits. Learn why it is important to preserve and protect each of these biomes.
